PeeWeePremium join:2001-10-21 Madera, CA | ! PRINTER 2 NETWORKS? I have a Canon mx 880 that work perfectly wirelessly. I want to know if I can attach a wired connection and use it on another network at the same time. Will this work? -- Iphone. Helping computer illiteracy become popular since 2007 |

 | give it try and let us know if it does...
The question is dependent on the printer and its capabilities. |

 | reply to PeeWee My Canon MX 350 will work wired and wireless. It has 2 IP addresses then and you just have to use the Canon network tool to find it and update the port that is attached to the printer in windows. |

One of your routers may have a USB port to share a printer, then you can use the wireless connection for the other network. |

Changing the printers subnet mask to 255.255.0.0 will allow the printer to use multiple subnets |

| Just connect the two routers via LAN port and see if you can ping the printer from both networks. If not, then you have to create static routes on each router for the other network.
Alternatively you can load dd-wrt on the WNR3500L which will allow you more granular routing and firewalling between the networks. |

 | lol... So, are we to redesign someone's network when one asks whether or not a product works a certain way |
