Is this a router or a modem, or both? I am using one and several computers are using it wirelessly. Is being behind it a security plus or not at all? Also when I try to connect my mirc client to a server it takes a while(like a min or so) to connect, would forwarding a port in the modem's setting help?
The 2 Wire is a modem/router combination device, and if I'm not mistaken, it has a built in firewall too.
As far as mirc goes when i was using my 2 wire, mirc was working fine... could be a server issue thats causing your connect times to be longer, try another server and see if that helps
