This is exactly what I do to double my bandwidth! The physics of this is sound! The only difference is I only use Monster-certified CAT5e cable—and, because of this, I find I get double my bandwidth far more consistently (and better/more consistent ping times too)! Regarding the electrical tape, this is a very important part. I found if you don’t have enough and don’t properly cover everything, it wouldn’t actually work—so if it’s not working, just redo the tape.

In addition, for what’s it’s worth and while a little off topic, I have a nice bridge to sell to anyone interested—toll revenue is consistent and solid—just IM me.

The secret lies in the "Information Constant".

Problem is, mine isn't.

WOW, this is absolutely amazing. I had to make several cables because I only had orange colored cable. I had to switch to blue and gray, but it did not work until I stopped using my cable cutter and used a pair of scissors and a half roll of tape on each end. I think the current, as stated, must have been leaking out the ends of the cable.

I am waiting to hear the results by Anav because he is further north and current flows easier the further north one is.

Well we all know that Monster Cables increase the speed of light causing your signals to have lower latency!

After all their CEO has a degree from Professor Farnsworth....

Depends on the circulation flow direction of the water when a toilet in your geographic area is flushed.

You can improve it a bit by using the proper toilet bowl cleaner. Sometimes all the little scrubbing brushes disrupt the flow.

You joke, but I tried this with a pair of my Denon AKDL1 Dedicated Link Cables and you can not imagine the difference it made. There was a noticeable increase in speed of digital audio between my HTPC and my receiver. I actually needed to add about a 10ms delay in the audio and pitch correction as the sound was moving so fast it no longer matched up with the video. Overall the performance was definitely was worth the cost
