Re: MOCA connection Problem What am I missing?

After reading through, I went and looked at the specs for the ECB2200. It looks like it requires 10-50db of loss to operate within spec and up to 68db for slower speed.

The way the pic is drawn, it looks like amps are not currently in play

A few things:

1. Attenuation on channel 1 (RG6) (1150) will have the lowest cable attenuation (not including termination):

1. 400ft 30db
2. 800ft 55db

At the 800ft run, you won't be able to get max theoretical speed.

So you must lock everything to channel 1 to minimize attenuation (no scan) and hope to connect these.

You will have to add up the splitters loss + any other run. You can turn OFF encryption on those home runs, or if on, make sure each run has the proper encryption seed.

It is possible that the ecb's were damaged if they were installed during the strike also--not sure if that was the case.
