Re: [Troubles] Sheridan, AR - Paying for 12 mbps getting .21 mbp
Thurs 5:40pm
Already so low. Guess WS sold some more lines in my area this week, usually it hits this speed about 6:30 before falling off to .25 at 7.
So this is acceptable for 5:40pm -it sure won't get better until close to 1 am. That is 33% of my day where my service is all but unusable. 52.99/3 = 17.67 *2 = 35.32 so that is what I should really be paying if I don't even count the hours where I get between 1 and 4. If I count those it should really be more like 25. Tell me again how $10 is fair.
I think the 35 a month I have been paying on my bill for the last 3 months is a fair price. Windstream can take that other 50$ I am 'late' on for the last three months and put it where the sun don't shine.
Surprise! The tune up and test that I was told was happening on March 18th didn't happen. That date was "missed" too and the engineers aren't answering their own support people as to why or when something might actually get done.
I can see how shocked you all are through my screen.
Time to call the media now and see about getting something run in the local paper to see if I can't get some more support.
Thanks Windstream for the stellar service that once again denied my kids the chance to Skype with their Grandparents on yet another holiday. I supposed it's not like they actually need to see their grandparents more than once or twice a year anyway.
I suppose we could have tried waking them up at 3am, not like they have a sleep schedule for work and school or anything... Oh wait. They do because we live in the real world and not the Windstream fantasy world where people pay for 12 but don't care if they get .07 when they are actually at home and awake because hey it's "up to" speeds never mind how illogical it is to claim that up to means from 0-12 and not from the lower tier - 12 except in rare circumstances.
I would recommend following these steps and procedures, this is getting to be nonsense anymore. Windstream are pretty much thieves with a name and suit.
Already been working on that. On my second round of complaints with the Arkansas AG. Filed with the FCC. Been documenting. Working on getting an ad in the local town paper to see if I can get more people involved and then plan to contact local media.
