Re: New Rogers Ultimate Rolloutsaid by JAC70:...Bell/s regular price 25/10 with 125GB is $60.... And very few people will notice any advantage with 10Mbps up. Currently Bell 25/10 = $29.95 for 6 mos then $36.95 reg price as of this morning.....saw the flash ads 10 minutes ago. 10mbps up would make a HUGE difference for me. I spend 90% of my time uploading. Bell says "80MB=3.7 seconds up" for $36.95 reg price. My Rogers $48.99 Express takes 20 minutes to upload 80 MB...............No comparison period. New Bell 25/10 may also need to be in a bundle. They didn't go into details....Still a FANTASTIC deal for some. |

Moving 80 megabytes in 3.7 seconds is what the 175/175 package could (theoretically) do. |

I can almost guarantee that was speeds "up to 25/10 available" and prices "starting at $29.95*". Considering the pricing lines up exactly with Bell's website for 5/1: $29.95 for 6 months and $36.95 ongoing (in a bundle). |

Very misleading the way it's presented. Sad when you almost need an engineering degree to decypher a Bell Internet ad.....Small wonder the average Joe often gets suckered into contracts they neither wanted nor understood to begin with. |

I spend 90% of my time uploading. This is the precise reason I need the service. I upload gigs upon gigs weekly (going over my cap is an inevitability). As I was reading the replies, I was on the phone with Rogers and they were able to retain the discounts I had applied (which took effect last week ... it's one of those large discounts talked about in another thread) .. and they were able to give me kind of a hybrid of the old 75mbit download with the new 10 mbit upstream for the same rate I was paying for the 2mbit upstream. Apparently, it's applied now, I'm about to test this and I'll report back here! Update: Seems it may be a few hours until it hits my modem .. I'll post when it's done / my experiences |
