Re: [DSL] Bonded DSL Q's
Thanks Smith, in my case trying to figure out if I can share a decent connection with the in-laws who are on the same "farm" but one house is a 1/4 mile and the other is 1/2 a mile away. (both in the same general direction)
Biggest problem I'd have to construct 75ft towers for wireless or bury fiber to get the connection to them since a direct line of sight goes over trees. I suspect a extendable pole mount would work but would be a pain to setup. Luckily Dad is a (power) linesman and has a cherry picker truck he can borrow that goes up to 85ft.
Frontier is being a dick (pardon my french) about extending the wire from the trunk line I am on north to service both farms which give them both 2Mbit or better dsl connections rather than using the current trunk they are on which goes the longest possible way around to a distance of over 6 miles and is so old and degraded it won't support dsl properly over 2 miles anyway. This would make one house 1/2 mile further away and the other about 3/4 mile further along my trunk line than I am.
