OK, What happened to the New iTunes?

I was convinced it would be released after yesterdays announcement. Has anyone heard anything about a release?

Hey thanks for narrowing that down a little bit.

Should be available before November 1st, since that is the way Apple works...

You know I'm a pretty patient person when I have been given information such as it's still in beta, there was a problem, it will be released the last day of October, we don't want rush it out and have another "maps" on our hands, or all of the above. I just think making an announcement, and leaving your customers just hanging for a month and half disrespectful and annoying.

I am certain it will be released and will be buggy as hell.

Bah! Well better "late but right" than "Maps" or "Siri" in Tim Cook's mind (and now in Eddy Cue's mind too).

That's very unfortunate. I was really looking forward to iTunes 11

Guess waiting an extra month won't kill me.

You know it's not so much about the software with me, it's the lame way it's being handled. It's not like they just found out that 11 wouldn't be ready to roll out today. Lets keep customers hanging for a month and a half, then at the last possible moment tack on another month. Classy move Apple.

It's better for it to be late and be a worthy update without bugs than to push it out before it's ready. Maybe they are learning from the maps fiasco.

A month is not really enough time for large bugs to be flattened.

What could Apple possibly be doing to a ten year old program that would cause this type of delay?...seriously they are not re-inventing the wheel here. My expectations just doubled.

Installing it might. I was looking forward to it as well. Now that it's delayed, I won't be installing it in day one. With the recent shenanigans with the staff, Apple is not impressing me in a post-Steve world.

How do you know? iTunes has been in need of an overhaul for sometime now. This seems like its that overhaul. They definitely could've rewrote massive parts of the code base for this release.

I'm disappointed they couldn't finish it on their announced timetable. I'm glad they're taking the time to fix it instead of rushing it out. Im not reading anymore into it than that.

Were we not shown a working model at the Sept. announcement?, This looks like something I want, but nothing to indicate a complete re-vamping of iTunes. (lipstick on a pig really) »www.apple.com/itunes/new-itunes/
