Re: OK, What happened to the New iTunes?

It's better for it to be late and be a worthy update without bugs than to push it out before it's ready. Maybe they are learning from the maps fiasco.

A month is not really enough time for large bugs to be flattened.

What could Apple possibly be doing to a ten year old program that would cause this type of delay?...seriously they are not re-inventing the wheel here. My expectations just doubled.

That's very unfortunate. I was really looking forward to iTunes 11

Guess waiting an extra month won't kill me.

Installing it might. I was looking forward to it as well. Now that it's delayed, I won't be installing it in day one. With the recent shenanigans with the staff, Apple is not impressing me in a post-Steve world.

How do you know? iTunes has been in need of an overhaul for sometime now. This seems like its that overhaul. They definitely could've rewrote massive parts of the code base for this release.

I'm disappointed they couldn't finish it on their announced timetable. I'm glad they're taking the time to fix it instead of rushing it out. Im not reading anymore into it than that.

Were we not shown a working model at the Sept. announcement?, This looks like something I want, but nothing to indicate a complete re-vamping of iTunes. (lipstick on a pig really) »www.apple.com/itunes/new-itunes/

If you follow that link, you will find that they changed the tag in the upper-right corner to read "Coming in November."

Maybe it will actually wifi sync more reliably...

Or why the hell can't they just separate that part of it to something called uhm, iSync? Where it could run in the background without the pig of iTunes running...

my only mac is my HTPC mini and iTunes regularly craps out every few days and my iPhone/iPad stop syncing.
