Indeed, absolutely zero excitement.

It's not like the Giants are really playing all that great, its more how bad the Tigers are playing... Similar story to how the Yankees just folded to these very same Tigers in the ALCS.

Aside from Verlander's meltdown in game 1, both game 2 and 3 were well pitched by Detroit's starters.

Why? There's a whole host of pitchers who have been dominant at a young age. Doc Gooden won the Cy at 20. Kershaw was 23 when he won it last year. Hell, MadBum's own teammate won the Cy at 24.

It's a very rare occurrence for a pitcher to be this good so young in his career. It has happened before but not often. Also his performances on the biggest stage of all have been great. It's one thing to pitch well in the regular season. It's another to pitch the gem that he did in 2010 in Texas and again pitch so well last night against a stacked Tigers lineup.

He should have been safe... a horrible slide... he slides on the foul side of home he is safe.

I don't give a TON of credit to Giants pitchers... some but not all.

Been watching this Tigers team struggle to score runs all season long... and when they get behind they press and ALL try to hit a HR... can't do that in a WS.

Do you remember when that Oakland pitcher took one back in September, was it?

I don't remember seeing it at the time, but just checking it out now, that was a brutal hit. He had brain surgery and missed the rest of the season. Video here:
