How do I copy About:config user set entries to print?

I need to print out my user set about:config entries for Fx 10 ESR. How do I do this?

Also, how do I copy/print the list of extensions I have installed?

Do not think it's possible.

As chrisretusn See Profile already said I don't think this is possible from within FF.

That said if you look at the prefs.js file in your FF profile folder you'll see it's a text file. You can either print that, as is, or edit it to make it more friendly.

# Mozilla User Preferences

/* Do not edit this file.
 *
 * If you make changes to this file while the application is running,
 * the changes will be overwritten when the application exits.
 *
 * To make a manual change to preferences, you can visit the URL about:config
 */

user_pref("accessibility.typeaheadfind.casesensitive", 1);
user_pref("accessibility.typeaheadfind.flashBar", 0);
...

For extensions - go into Help > 'Troubleshooting'.

Good catch, I forgot about that one, a relatively new feature. Still... I prefer Extension List Dumper.

Thanks.

I printed that prefs.js file. I should have cleaned it up. There was no print preview available so I had no idea it would take 5 pages!

I keep forgetting about that Troubleshooting list in Fx Thanks!

I got a print preview on it so I didn't have to print all the pages. Even so, it printed two pages in BOLD so it wastes ink. I didn't need bold ....I just wanted a list. Next time, I will just use a pen and paper and write them down.

As StuartMW See Profile mentioned, your prefs.js is actually a text file. You probably could have opened it using notepad, copied all the data out, and then pasted it into a new text file. Then, clean it up so it looks better (or only prints what you want), and then print it from notepad.

Doing it that way (while a little effort) should cause it not to print in bold if you ever need to do it again.

Well you don't get all the preferences (about:config settings) that way. What you do get is

Hmmm.. I could write a PHP script to take the pref.js as input and using various string handling functions format it into a printable,formatted web page. Looking at the format of the file, be easy to convert it into table tags.

If I get bored later today I may just do that, just to do it.

I wouldn't bother. You can make a pretty Excel table in a few minutes.

1) Copy prefs.js to about-config.txt
2) Open about-config.txt in NotePad or other text editor.
3) Delete the header (first 10 lines).
4) Replace-all (Ctrl-H) user_pref(" with an empty string.
5) Replace-all ); with an empty string.
6) Replace-all " with an empty string.
7) Save and close the file.
8) Rename the file to about-config.csv
9) Open about-config.csv in Excel and format to your desire.

Total time: about 2 minutes.

The pref.js did not print in bold but I should have cleaned it up before it printing it. I could not get a print preview for it so I didn't realize how many pages it was or I would have cleaned it up before printing.

It was Troubleshooting Information that printed in Bold.

Yep. I completely missed that. If I ever need it again (unlikely) I hope I notice that next time.

All I wanted from Troubleshooting was the list of extensions as I had the modified preferences from prefs.js file.
