Best way to edit grub?

I have a netbook that I sold, however, I want to restore Windows to its original. However, it seems that when Linux was installed (Mint-Lisa) GRUB left out the recovery partition, so you can never see it. I need to edit the grub so I can edit and add the recovery portion. My guess the recovery must be on /dev/sda1 (since it's not being shown)..since I been mostly using OSX, I've lost some of my mojo..

Guess I didn't lose all my Linux mojo, a sudo add repository, apt-get update and an apt-get install app did the trick...no web sites visited either on the unit! MAN!
