Contrary to the usual thumping that "data is data", a wireless gigabyte without a recurring monthly fee is certainly worth a lot more than one that expires in 30 days.
In this case, you're paying $11.25/GB to "own" it.
If your needs are sporadic (like mine), that's not a bad rate compared to renting expiring GB's at $5/month or more. |

So go from 1 GB to 2 G is an $10. To go from 2 GB to 4 GB is $10. In fact every 2 GB after that is $10 or $5 per GB. Still high but not the $50 per GB you are implying.
Also why are even comparing to this to PHONE service when the more applicable comparison would be Verizon's HomeFusion service. It's $60 a month for $10 GB and you get 4G speeds. |
