Re: Removing a 15 pin chip I've done what SparkChaser suggests many times. Clip the leads off at the IC body with a good pair of cutters, then heat the lead and pull it out. One other thing I do to get nice clean holes, is to add a bit of solder to the now empty hole, and then wick it off with solder wick. And then I clean both sides of the board with Isopropyl Alcohol. -- One man's Magic is another man's Engineering. |
