Re: [Exede] Exede Install Scheduled..Some Questions

130-150 ft is the max cable i will run.

leave the installer alone to do his work..... if you feel that you cant do that, ask for another installer.

all you need is to watch his laptop while the SVT tool runs (site validation tool) he gets all greens, he did his job.

and tip the guy $5 for his time.

Re: [Exede] Exede Install Scheduled..Some Questions

I appreciate your response, however, if you are indicating that I will interfere with the installer, I think that you are off base in that regard.
I have been in the satellite hobby since about 1983 ~ 84. I used to install C/Ku-Band systems, not full time, but on the side back in the late 80's and early 90's.
I want to make sure that the entire system is peaked to maximum performance before the installer leaves.
I am not trying to be condescending to the installer, I just do not want to have to have someone come back in a week or a month to correct a problem that could have been prevented.

There is a way to see the signal stats, and there is a proper way (in sequences) to peak dish, after installer is gone.

A high speed wind could shift the dish horizontally, btw
