Do handoffs work? Can you roam between WiMax base stations and LTE base stations without dropping the connection?

I'm assuming the CPE is WiMax capable?

If my market gets it this will require a new CPE hub right ?????

Yes. None of the currently offered hardware is LTE compatible. If the OP is right, it looks like they have intentions to open up their LTE network to their retail brand.

I was skeptical it would be wholesale only.

Overall the results with the new LTE system look disappointing in the video above.
Could the backhaul system be limiting the max speeds?

I am sure it is backhaul limited. Especially if the site is just for RF testing.

Not sure if you heard during the earnings calls. Sounds like most Samsung areas will get upgraded first as they just require a line card.

Motorola base stations will have to be completely replaced (almost the entire Chicago market).

This video is bullshit! LTE test market is in VA, they wont see 2500Mhz TDD-LTE until 2014 Q1 if things go as planned.

Odd that he has a Clearwire IP. Sprint's LTE uses CGN on DoD space.

Because it's a Clearwire trial. Just like I have an Earthlink IP on a Timewarner cablemodem. Or [insert ISP here] address on a Covad DSL line.

Wow this server sucks

Yeah, I have been seeing the same type of results with Wimax. Large burst but I end up with a DL that is slower than the UL.

Can you run pingtest.net, jitter, QOS or other? It seems to me that clear/sprint has a serious network problem and/or is throttling via some type of long ping scheme. Seedtest.net seems to only record the first ping and subsequent pings and speed starts sucking.

I can run speedtest.net but not pingtest.net (firewall error).
