[Other] Do MS SQL accounts unlock like AD?

This may be a silly question. If User XYZ fails to log in too many times their account locks but does it auto-unlock like Active Directory account does?

Thanks.

No, it won't auto unlock. SQL Admin (sa or someone with similar privilege) will have to unlock it.

Was curious because this happened over a weekend where a user called in to state their ERP log in was locked and I didn't want ot bother an on call person. Of course I did but just wanted to make sure I knew for the future.

I tried Googling the question but nobody ever had a simple "Yes or No" answer.

Thanks for your help!
