Foundation/Wall Water Leak
Building one concrete construction connects to building two also concrete construction. We'll call building one old construction and building two new construction even though building two is 10+/- years old. When building two was built it was connected to the exterior wall of building one. There is a gap of maybe 6" between the two buildings. I can access an old window in building on and actually see in between the two buildings. For whatever reason, there is water that leaks between the two buildings and as a result leaks out into the floor of building two every time it rains.
The cause of the issue has been inspected by several contractors and no solutions have been offered. They have ruled out a roof leak and blame it on some type of foundation or drainage issue - perhaps the water seeping in from ground level.
What has resulted is a total reactive situation - clean up, wet/dry vac and fans every time it rains.
Since the water is coming down the walls and seeping out on the floor would I really accomplish anything by adding sump pumps?
I apologize, I do not have any pictures at this time.
