voice hunt-group parallel

Hi,

I have a 3825 with CME 8.6 acting as SBC.

I have a ephone-dn (100) with phones registered and a remote CME (4.0.1) acting for extension 200 (1751-V with VIC-2FXS).

I've setup a parallel hunt group in the following way;

voice service voip
 ip address trusted list
  ipv4 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0
 clid strip pi-restrict all
 clid network-provided
 address-hiding
 srtp fallback
 allow-connections h323 to h323
 allow-connections h323 to sip
 allow-connections sip to h323
 allow-connections sip to sip
 no supplementary-service sip refer
 redirect ip2ip
 fax protocol pass-through g711alaw
 h323
  call start slow
  call preserve
 modem passthrough nse codec g711alaw
 sip
  bind control source-interface Loopback0
  bind media source-interface FastEthernet1/0
  rel1xx disable
  e911
  header-passing
  subscription maximum accept 1000
registrar server expires max 3600 min 120
  redirect contact order best-match
  no call service stop

voice hunt-group 1 parallel
 list 100,200
 timeout 60
 pilot 514xxxxxxx

If I call the pilot, within 22 seconds, the voicemail on the analog port of the 1751 picks up the call (expected behavior) and then at 30 seconds flat, the CUBE on the 3825 sends BYE in every directions (to the ITSP provider and the 1751).

Why?

Thanks,
cramer

Just a guess... because you're mixing too many versions and technologies? Some debugs are in order.

It sounds like the 1751 is answering (VM) but not correctly signalling that to the 3825. One solution might be to setup a hunt group on the 1751 that won't dump to VM, then the 3825 will be left to send the call to VM.

You haven't provided to phone / extension configs. 100, being an ephone, has to be SCCP. 200, being on a remote CME, would have to be SIP or MGCP -- CME 4.0 cannot make an FXS port act as an ephone, nor can the router register as an ephone.

Hi Cramer,

the "VM" is actually a crappy analog phone with a built-in recorder. The 1751-V extension 200 rings the FXS port of that phone.

Here is the trace, first the 3825 receiving the inbound call and managing the hunt-group

Yes, sorry, that was a 'received'. The 1751 looks like it did exactly what it should... the answering machine picked up and it OK'd the call, and the 3825 ACK'd. Odd. Cause code 86 on 100 makes it sound like an IOS bug.

(also, the clocks aren't in sync, but that shouldn't matter.)
