I am experiencing the same problem of using too much gig. I have never reach beyond the 7.5 gig I had with Digis or even come close to it. I moved and could no longer have Digis as my provider. Now that I have Exede, they have been so kind as to up my useage limit from 7.5 gig to 10 gig for free, how thoughtful of them. I am at 9.2 gig on the useage chart - there is no way. I tried going online to see what I've been downloading but there is no list from them justifying the useage, only get the vague useage meter. I am doing what I can to get out of this contract and get them reported to the BBB. I believe there is something illegal about this type of service in the computer world. These guys are a big rip off!
We are having the same problems with them. I have been with Wildblue for 6 years. We switched to excede for the higher speed. Speed is higher, but we have been hitting our 25 gig allowance in 1 week! We are not doing anything differently than we had done with wildblue. Something is wrong with their counting system. It has been a nightmare and I regret switching!
