To answer my own questions:

Did anyone experience issues installing this update?

YES. The Windows installer program provided in this update crashed on two different peecees of mine. I had to use TFTP to do the update.

Is provisioning (configuration) of SPA2102 preserved after update?

YES. My SPA2102 is working as before.
