DNS problems

Does Excede internet have the same DNS problems that Hughes internet has?

I don't know about Hughes but since I got back I've been experiencing multiple DNS lookup failures and connection resets on WildBlue in the last 10 days

On Phoenix AcceleNet Server, I'm not aware of an issue.

I am not sure what the problem is, but I just changed to excede, and the dns lookup problem can be fixed by resetting the modem. I think it has something to do with dns leases expiring, and the modem does not give a renewal query??

Actual DNS lookup is done at AcceleNet Server, or at each Gateway.

Resetting SB2 modem would suggest a glitch somewhere, either SB2 modem or your router/computer.

If using router, check your status page to see if dynamic address is there.

You don't say what model of hughes you have/had. I had the HN7000 and had a lot of DNS problems with pages not loading without a refresh. So far, since I switched to Exede, there are less DNS errors probably by a factor of 10 or so but they still occur occasionally.

I have a 7000s and this is the response, I was looking for....Right now it is still a toss up(Gen4 vs. Excede). When the 7000s goes down .
