To Time Warner Cable customers affected by Hurricane Sandy
As we work to restore service, the safety of our employees and customers is our primary concern. You can be confident that TWC is devoting every available resource to restoring service to affected customers both residential and business.
We have teams of employees responding to every aspect of the situation:
Technical staff making repairs in the field.
Call center staff handling customer calls.
Engineers to monitoring the recovery and performance of our network.
Managers and supervisors are all on duty to make sure every available resource is
poised to restore service for any affected customers.
If you call TWC, our automated phone system will tell you if we are aware of service interruptions in your area. If you call and hear that message, no further action is necessary. If your service is out and you dont hear a message, you can report it through the system or by speaking with a representative.
Residential customers can call:
(212) 358 0900 or (718) 358-0900
Business Class customers can call:
When service is interrupted, especially as a result of severe weather, the first priority is to restore electric power. TWC crews may not be able to access a repair site because of downed electrical wires or other unsafe conditions. As a result, you will likely see electricity restored before your TWC services.
There are several reasons why your TWC services may still be affected, even if you have electric power at your home or business. In every case, you can be confident that TWC crews will restore your services as soon as possible:
1.TWC crews may not be able to access a repair site until power company crews have completed their work and declared the site safe.
2.Your service can be affected if electricity is lost to the TWC network near your home or business, even though power may be available at your home or business.
3.There may be damage to the TWC network serving your residence or business
We are already doing all we can to restore your services as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
