Same here. Anyone else having issues? My modem gets an upstream and downstream connection but cannot DHCP. Just seems to endlessly cycle through the connection process. My connection has been down since about 3pm today.

Looks like the CMTS doesn't know about your modem. They've probably re-jigged the CMTSs, possibly splitting one or more of them, and lost your configuration along the way.

Eg. your modem may still work perfectly well at somebody else's house (on a different CMTS). You might speed things up by testing that theory yourself while waiting for service to be restored.

If the problem persists, you'll have to "suggest" this as a cause to Teksavvy and hope they have a way to ask Rogers about that specific problem.

Could this be caused by my SB6120 firmware being older? I have version SB_KOMODO-1.0.6.1-SCM00-NOSH. I know that some people have been having issues with upstream bonding.

I'm down too, in Westboro.
Register Connection Failed.
And only getting 1 channel found on downstream and upstream and the channels keep changing.

SB_KOMODO-1.0.6.1-SCM00-NOSH is the latest btw.

That's what I am getting. Maybe an upstream bonding upgrade gone wrong?

Right now I do not have a pattern really, so the weather could be an issue because of Sandy. But I am going to keep an eye on it all night.

EDIT: I just sent a mass email to my staff to keep me informed if they are on calls from OTTAWA so I can stay on top of things. I only have 3 RF issues right now, and that is not enough for a master :/

And it's back up.
Edit: Spoke too soon, rebooted modem because it only had 1 channel down and up, now it's still down.

Power Cycle is the best bet. I know allot of people could be online this time of night with everything that is going on with the storm. So there maybe minor congestion compaired to other nights while people are trying to reach friends and family.

Just like to add my voice to this as I'm only getting 1 upstream channel as well. At first I thought it was my extremely 'loud' 51 dBmV signal, but after testing around the house with lower values I can still only get the one channel. Not sure if this is related. Everything was fine until yesterday when I had constant resets.

I'm in Downtown Ottawa, btw.

I think it is best that you call our support line. Right now we are experiencing a higher call volume, so you are looking about a 20 minute wait...but one of our Tek's should be able to help you.

No problems all day here and the storm didn't really hit Ottawa. I use an old SB5100 cable modem so any changes to channel bonding etc wouldn't effect me however. Located near the corner of Baseline and Woodroffe.

Anyone getting disconnects should check their modem firmware. IF you have a DCM-475 modem, and the firmware ("software") version is Stac 02.08, then this nearly always results in frequent disconnects after Rogers upgrades nodes for more channel bonding.

A simple update to 02.16 firmware cures the problem, and I can do it for you here in Bells Corners (Ottawa) for a nominal ($5) fee.

Cheers
