Also, underground vaults with salt water. So yeah they really can't do anything but wait.

They can repair downed lines and check continuity of circuits. They can put recharged batteries in local hubs until electric power is restored.

About all they can do at the moment.

At least they're doing something.. instead of waiting.. The entire east coast looks like a war zone. The best move is to get people working instead of worrying.

They can repair and test obviously damaged and destroyed infrastructure but until the power's back on service will not be restored, I think that was the point they were making.

They'll be busy for some time.

Well, what exactly is Time Warner doing that Cablevision, Comcast, Verizon, and AT&T is not?
Its just an advertisement secretly installed into a headline.

How are they going to recharge hubs with no power? Putt-putt gas generators? Diesel plants in the trucks? Unlikely or even impossible!

Where in a city where people are lining up for blocks to charge their cell phones would you propose they do that? The only non-flooded tunnel out of the city is the Lincoln tunnel which I believe is still closed.

I've noticed that TWC gets a LOT of headline action on the front page of this site. I agree seems like product placement via website. LOL
