Modem went bad

My personal EMTA went bad with constantly dropping connections so I went to the CC office to pick up a rental EMTA to rule out the modem as a culprit. They did not have any D3 EMTAs on the shelf so they offered me a gateway or a D2 EMTA and a D3 modem or a gateway so I took the gateway. I would really like to use my AirPort router, even if I have to bridge the modem or disable the wifi on the gateway and use the airport as a wireless access point.

The clerk did upgrade me to extreme 105 without a truck roll by just changing a code on my account.
