No LTE? Eh...

What turned me off what the fact that it's an LG phone. I would go to Apple phone at cash and carry pricing before I took a free LG phone.

If it's Google's OS and Google handling any warranty issues - and one would assume also dictating quality specifications with benchmarks for return rates, etc - why does it matter?

I had the same initial reaction about LG.... but when you think about it, there's really nothing wrong with LG as a manufacturer of stuff. It's their design and implementation teams that are awful.

So with Google essentially designing the Nexus phone and LG "putting the bits together" I think we're safe.

Plus, remember that even Apple is now using LG as a parts supplier for the iPhone 5 (the new screen comes to mind as an example).
