 | reply to epsilon3 About time looks like the 28/1 will be bumped to 35/3. Does that mean tsi user will get that also? |
|
|
|
 | good question, but the last speedbump that was the case.... also the reason why epsilon3 is giving tsi the headsup that on dec 1 they might be getting calls about congestion..:) ...i'd be surprised if rogers hadn't already contacted teksavvy yet (although it sounded like the last speedbump they weren't notified) |

No that's Rogers, they don't reveal their secrets, this happened during the last "upgrade" where TSI ran out of bandwidth because of the unplanned upgrades by Rogers.
So a roughly 25% increase in download speed matched with a 300% increase in upload is going to put another dent into everyone's bandwidth forecasts.
I need to get a D3 modem my SB5100 has reached the end of it's life -- No, I didn't. Honest... I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake....... |

| reply to elwoodblues Yeah if you want the new speeds a D3 modem is where you need to be at.
I'm so pumped for this announcement. I know us TSI users would probably see these speeds until early 2013 but knowing when it's coming is helpful for planning out a few things |

Reopening the massive gap between Lite and Express levels of service! 25/2 is a nice no-brainer service level for all but the most frugal customers--very few people will need anything else.
Now that Docsis 2 isn't appropriate for Express, it really is on its last legs. Too bad, lots more perfectly good hardware going to hit the trash for lack of a service level between 6mbit and 25mbit.. -- electronicsguru.ca |
|
 | reply to c2roth I would hazard a guess the 6/256 is the new upgrade for the Lite line. Kinda bummed that the upstream is still 256k though. |

HiVoltPremium join:2000-12-28 Toronto, ON kudos:17 | reply to TSI Marc Marc, can you inquire with Rogers when they plan to speedmatch the two tiers that they are providing on TPIA non aggregated?

This may affect you again ... and now that package isnt worth it so they will and tek will lose money haha and now you see why you should not have dealt with rogers....they can't keep there word. i had 4 megabit upload speed in 99 with them....before there downgrading and there capping began.... and who cares about more download speed like 28 or 32 megabit is much difference when they kill upload speed it really does matter |
|
 | Looks like I can downgrade my Internet service. I don't need 28/1. I need 25/2! Save myself $8/month |
