 | Shaw Traffic Usage Monitor Alternatives? There used to be a great little extension called "Shaw Traffic Usage Monitor" for Google Chrome. However, for some reason, the author deleted it from the webstore.
Does anyone know if there are alternatives? What I loved about that extension was it also estimated whether I would go over the cap or not, based on that cycle's uploads/downloads.
I log into the Shaw Customer Centre to view my usage now, so it has been a real hassle.
Any help is appreciated. |

 | Best way will always be a firewall solution that tracks. I personally use pFsense as my main firewall and it has packages to track usage. Live traffic graphs, built in VPN, etc. It requires a machine with a dual port network card, but can run on any old PC. Mine runs on an old P4 and runs very well. It's the best way to track usage, as everything through WAN passes through it. May be other software solutions, but I'm not sure how accurate they would be. |

1 edit | reply to rustydusty DD-WRT works well for many existing routers, snmp traps work on some routers.
I have found its better to do your own graphs, rather than Online Customer Care, because you get up to date information, not two or three days behind. -- Yes, I am not employed and looking for IT work. Have passport, will travel. |

 | reply to Ed_BC Ahhh, so it will show data consumption, not traffic graphs. I love my real time traffic graphs and free firewall solution
