Any help on how to uninstall Java? I have done so on my Vista machines. However on my XP-SP3 when I go to add/remove programs and try to uninstall it, it tells me it can't do it because the program is located on a cd-Rom. I went to Sun/Java which sent me to a Microsoft help site that told me to use add/remove programs. Ha! Opened Ccleaner and it told me the same thing.
Thanks
PS: I've had it disabled forever, but I would like to remove it.
I've found that using MSI installers (for anything) can be problematic if the original MSI isn't available (e.g. if done from a now non-existent removable drive). If you know the version of the Java you have installed you can try and locate (Google etc) the original MSI install package and then point to that when add/remove complains.
If that doesn't work there are numerous Google hits for "Java removal". -- Don't feed trolls--it only makes them grow!
