 | Daylight Savings Time Ends This Weekend Just a heads up for everyone out there to set their clocks back an hour when they go to bed on Saturday night this weekend.
It also means your PVR schedules will look cockeyed until your receivers catch up with the time change, at least on Expressvu they do.
So remember, Sunday morning, at 2 AM clocks go back an hour....
And now I open the floor to the bitching and moaning about how useless the whole DST/EST transition is every year and how nobody's happy going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark....
Gentlemen... START yer bitchin'!!! |

At least we're not losing an hour this time. |

LazManPremium join:2003-03-26 canada | reply to lugnut No bitching about the time change - but a friendly reminder to change the batteries in your smoke and CO detectors when you're changing the clocks.
Also, check the dates - if the CO detector is more the 7 years old, or the smoke is more then 10; or if you can't find a date, replace them... |

This time, just STFU and change your clocks. |

Gentlemen... START yer bitchin'!!! I don't mind going to work and coming back home in the dark... hell, where I was born, the nights were a lot longer in winter, and the days were a lot longer in summer compared to Montreal. (In December, the sun would come out at around 10:30AM and go down at about 5PM, and in June, the sun goes up at 5AM and goes down at 11PM)
But that one hour difference annoys the hell out of me because I already have trouble sleeping and I'm more of a night person...and this 1 hour change turns me into a complete zombie for 2-3 weeks as my body takes forever to get used to it. :\ |

 | You and piles of other adults. They probably won't fix it in your lifetime but I'm sure they will for the next... |

The only redeeming quality about the lack of sunlight when going home from work this time of year is that it won't be too long before the entire world is lit up with Christmas lights. |

However most of the time, for most people, they're on their patterned daily schedule and it's a fact that this schedule has biological implications on functionality.
In my younger days I could bounce between time zones, go for 60 hours without sleep, etc.. Jet lag was a foreign concept to me. These days I feel these strange experiences... |
