[Internet] New Bell 15/10 Service and CO Distance Question
I just ordered the Bell 15/10 with Fibe TV package.
I'm ok with steady 15/10 service, and 25/10 is offered in my area per Bell's website. My concern is how far I am from the CO.
A bit of research shows I am about 1.1km direct to the CO, isn't this too far?
I can't find any speedtest results for my area.
There's probably a stinger closer than that, but 25 meg service can be done within 1.1k, but the upload will probably not be 10
I just got my Fibe TV and this is what I found out.
You can only get 25/10 if you don't have Fibe TV. If you do, you get 15/10.
In my installation, which was just done yesterday, the best I can get is 15/5 and I am 550M from the CO/drop. Of course, that is not what I am paying for.
You could get a 10$ discount for the situation.

To be honest I would be happy with actual 15/5 speed as long as it's reliable (and yes I would still try for the discount if not receiving as advertised).
My concern is that I cancelled Rogers, which is extremely unreliable and if Bell tech comes out and can't get decent speeds I'm screwed.
