Not sure if this is true for the HR34, it is for the HR24's - you can't use more than a 2TB disk. The OS on the box won't use anything bigger than 2TB.
The disk inside the machine goes inactive when an external disk is attached.
I personally opted for a RAID-1 external cabinet with a pair of 2TB disks in it and so far it's been working like a champ. |
