Virginia Beach, VA | [DVR] MRDVR will not record My DVR has decided to not record anything. It is a 7232-2. When a scheduled recording tries to start, I lose all sound and picture. The recording is less than 15 seconds. I can change the channel and then come back to regain the picture/sound.
I have removed power, removed my external hard drive, and tried the auto fix. Nothing seems to work. I can change channels, the time was updated.
Does anyone have any idea or is my DVR toast? There is a FIOS store nearby and I can swap it if needed, but I will lose all of my recorded programs. |

Virginia Beach, VA | Well looks like I may have found the problem, at least for now. I completely disconnected the external hard drive, including the data cable, restarted the DVR. I was able to record at that point. I let the external cool off, it was only warn, not hot, then reconnected everything. Everything is now back to normal. All of my recordings are back, the external drive is behaving.
