loadii join:2011-01-04 Fresh Meadows, NY | Fresh Meadows 11365 Hi
I am in 11365 Fresh Meadows Queens, after Sandy my FiOS seems to have issues during peak hours but not during off peak. Anyone experience the same thing? I get around 10mbs around peak but upload seems fine. |

my speed from 7:30pm to about 10:30pm every night since Sandy. called Verizon last night, went through the typical trouble shooting of rebooting ONT and resetting model but nothing has changed. |
|
 | Have you tried a test server?

As you can see, the test sights can congest |

loadii join:2011-01-04 Fresh Meadows, NY | I have tried various servers around the tri-state area and they are pretty the same. I have also tried the speedtest from verizon and the results are the same. I have a ticket open with Verizon and they told me that they replace a cad and it'll take several days for the load balance to do its work. Let see how it goes in several days. |

It has been at least a week since I have tested any speeds due to being away on business now for over a month. I will try again tonight if I am able to remote in and will post any results to help out. |

RolteC0h join:2001-05-20 Fresh Meadows, NY kudos:1 | reply to loadii I wonder what is happening tonight? 10Mbit/sec downloads at best!
First hop ping times are from 3ms to 300ms with packet loss, average 20ms so far! Way off my 2ms average and 154Mbit download speeds.
Actiontec reports almost no traffic on the line. BBR monitors east and west coast report the same spike/increase in ping time.
nycdave , Maybe you have an explanation towards this? 71.167.106.1 |

Mces97 join:2007-04-10 Oakland Gardens, NY | I live in Bayside, 11364, and even a few days before Sandy I started seeing weird download speeds. The funny thing is my upload speeds are always fine. It happens sporatically too, but at least a few times a week. Just did a speedtest and I was getting 27down 60up, and I am on the 150/65 plan. Verizon must know about this problem and I really hope they address and fix it. |

Reset the Actiontec and I have a new IP. Not only that, but Level 3 peering looks good now:
