High jitter from Camp Pendleton

I recently moved into a new barracks (about a half mile away). The connection at this new barracks is very frustrating during prime time -- downloads and watching streaming video is fine, but internet gaming is mediocre. Ping jumps around from 50-250, etc etc.

I will attach a few snaps to illustrate this; if anyone would like to help, let me know if I can provide anything else.

• Modem = Netgear CG3000D
• Internet plan = Unsure; believe its Premiere... $52/mo ?
• Cable modem plugged into wall.
• No tweaks.
• Wireless
• MAC: 841B5E16C5F8

I have -- no difference. I'm running a 24 hour pingplotter right now to depict the difference between prime time ping/jitter and off hours.

Thanks for serving our country - have you tried contacting either

CoxJimR See Profile or CoxTech1 See Profile for assistance?

Let them check out your area too to make sure it's not just you before wasting gas on a tech to your home.

I'm busy putting together a week or so of data from Pingplotter to accurately show the bad primetime.

I've seen Cox trucks outside the barracks all day today so who knows, maybe something is happening.

Is that your first hop to your router (10.72.0.1) at 99ms average?
