[Bakersfield] Cable Cards in Bakersfield

Hi, I'm a Brightouse customer in Bakersfield. I feel like I know the answer but I just want to be sure. There is a SiliconDust HDHomeRun Prime on Woot today for a really good price and it got me thinking again. I would like to run the Prime on a Linux backend (MythTV or TV Headend) playing to XBMC boxes that I have in three rooms. My first question is, will the "Copy Once" tag keep me from watching programs recorded on the backend? I would mainly be recording shows on the cable news channels. My second question is, are the news channels set to copy once?

Thanks for your help...

In Orlando, I've seen most "Cable" channels are Copy Once and need PlayReady DRM (Windows). I *think* network channels are open but I'd need to confirm. YMMV.
