From beta, MSV drops only Sigils of Power, HoF only Wisdom, and ToES drops both. ToES dropping both makes sense to me, as later on in the expansion, you will get new raiders, and being able to skip MSV will be possible. Heck, it'll be possible as people get VP gear/crafted items.

Poor plate wearers. Unless they're holy paladins, they'll have a bit of a wait for Sha-touched weapons.

wowhead was making me think maybe it was for the 25loot but I don't think they've split the 10 and 25 locks yet.

It's a council fight where you can kill the bosses in any order (very much like Iron Council in Ulduar). If you kill one specific guy last, you get "elite" drops, which are a half-tier up. That works on both normal and heroic.

The quest chain awards of a Legendary gem with +500 stat (as Dark noted), that can only be slotted into a Sha-touched socket, which only appear on weapons from Heart and Terrace (LFR included, though).

There is apparently a way to buy additional gems once you finish the quest, so that you can upgrade with impunity.

ya but I think the gem is unique equiped (sorry dual wielders)
I think they're doing the replacement gem something like the ashen verdict ring.

so ya if you slot it into the LFR version don't worry, you'll still be able to get one to put in the reg or heroic version.

BTW the elite weapon had a blue socket not a sha touched.

its not any weapon, just a few weapons

for instance if I open the Dungeon journal and sort HoF for mage gear of the weapons I see there's 1 sha touched and 2 that aren't

oddly there is an "elite" version of one of the wepons, not sure what that's about but its higher ilvl than the non elite.

in 5.1 the legendary gems are getting buffed to 550.

btw from just reading it seems I was wrong, all bosses in HoF will drop Sigils of wisdom.

seems the drop rate is different from what I had read before.

LFR=personal chance a sigil will drop
Reg/Heroic=100% chance.

so hard core raiders will be completing the quest this week and getting the next part, kill the sha of fear. (boss in ToES.)

in reg/Heroic make sure that everyone loots the boss to get their sigils.

its 3 bosses, ie first half of HoF.

next week is 2nd half of HoF

then the week after that is ToES

gear drop ilvl is the same fore all 3 and the req to get in is the same.
