Shhh! dont let them know its broke
In some cases, companies have been known to exempt services such as HBO-Go and their own backup services since it doesn't "leave" their network... I haven't heard of cox doing this but it comes up a lot for other companies imposing bandwidth caps that they don't count towards them.
