For those in WIMAX area or who only need 200MB of 3g...

new plan:

$5 will give you 500MB full speed WIMAX (then throttles it) or 200MB of 3G (then quenches it)... plan lasts for 24 hours.

Not too bad if you really needed it for times when your regular ISP was down/out.

the devices are also 50% off again, so the U600 is $34.99 again.
Wal-Mart still had them for $34.88 yesterday.

Great deal if you are in WiMAX coverage area. Their best plan is the $35 which gives you unlimited 4G WiMAX for 1 month.

Hmm so the press release said 500MB then throttle on wimax, but you are correct the website has the image below listed as the tos which says 10GB.

I am going to guess that in typical VM fashion they just haven't updated the tos page (»www.virginmobileusa.com/legal/im···ion.html ) for the daily plan yet.

Here is how its listed in the press release:

Plans include either: 500MB (Daily plan); or 10GB (Monthly plans), of full-speed 4G data. 3G data network access ends when the applicable 3G data allotment is reached.

Even throttled on wimax the speed should be good as they list the throttle speed for wimax as 2Mbps.
