Re: [NFL] Week 10 Games Discussion

To me Peyton Manning, in his career, did more with less.

Amen to that. Just look at what happened to the Colts when he was first gone.
From contenders to pretenders.
Oh, and unless I'm mistaken, he also happens to have the Highest QB rating in the league right now...not bad for a simple (and now "old"), country boy, who took a year off recovering from serious neck surgery.

Lots of QBs can be classified as game managers and I think Flacco fits that bill, but I think hes the best of um.

I agree with this. The media writes the stories, but being a Ravens fan I can say I don't know any other Raven fans arguing that Joe is elite. We know better. We see Ben in our own division pull miracles out with no line, we see Brady slice and dice (although do not fear him any more), and we see Rodgers, Brees, and Peyton light up defenses with savvy and accuracy. Joe is no way "elite". But he's a damn sight better than Kyle Boller and Trent Dilfer - combined. And our defense sucks this year, quite frankly, which ain't helpin.

1-7 KC putting up a respectable effort. And game against Pitts goes in to OT. Pitts struggling after Roethlisberger is injured.

OT starts badly for KC. KC throws pick in 1st play from scrimmage in OT. And Pitt kicks a quick FG to win it 55 secs into the OT.

We did not deserve to win that game.

Without the zebras, we wouldn't have.

What a pathetic display of offense.

It wasn't pretty but we won and I will take it. Depending on what is up with Ben, next week could become very interesting.

KC played tough.

I still do not understand why the Jets tried so hard to get Tebow and then not use him much.

He looked OKAY yesterday. His WR dropping balls and having alligator arms(Maclin) wasn't helping either. But Dallas has a pretty darn good defense. Keep it going and lets see what the kids got

Cowboys dropped atleast 1 pick six and shoulda picked him off a few more times they just dropped the INTS. Foles looks like he has a strong arm and more accurate than Vick. But I might be more accurate than Vick.

I didn't at first either. But it's all becoming clear to me now.
They signed him strictly for a future trade, some media attention, and maybe to sell a few tickets along the way.
It's either that, or some of the worst coaching I've ever seen in my life. (There *has* to be more to this than meets the eye).
We'll see, I suppose.

I UNDERSTAND IT NOW. Rex is the Anti-Christ. He was acquiring Tebow to only bench him so Tebow would lose relevance!!! The only person that can stop Tebow is Rex!

Lol...interesting theory.
The thing is, by not playing him, he may also be losing some value for what I'm pretty sure will be a future trade.
And you really have to wonder what some guy is worth who runs for 3 or 4 yards a game, and then sits on the bench the rest of the time. People need to see what he's made of...and not just one "miracle season".
I'm telling you, the guy is/(was) a one hit wonder!
It will take some special coaching to fit him into an offense where he excels...and I'm sure not talking a QB necessarily.
Elway saw that, and look who is QB for the Broncos now.

Everyone fell for the whole "Tebowmania" thing (well, except maybe for me), and it's fading real fast...thanks to the Jets. (True, maybe the Cowboys could use him somehow, but other than that, I ain't so sure).
