I am starting FIOS Internet and Digital phone service later this month. If I buy a new computer in a couple of months after the installation, how difficult is it to switch the installation to the new computer? Thank you.
If you're using Windows 7 and will be non-wireless just plug in the Cat-5 cable from the modem and it will automatically configure it for you. If your Win 7 and wireless just click on the wireless icon in the sys tray (bottom right on task bar) and it will show you the available networks. Click yours, enter the password for your network, and off you go. -- I could care less who you vote for but get up off your butt and vote.
reply to Anon754 To expand on kingdome74's excellent point...there is no software that goes on your PC that is required to use FiOS. Adding a new or additional device is strictly a matter of connecting to the network, either by wire or by wireless. No tricks. All treats.
