You can be safe today and not so safe tomorrow. <br><br>Security is a process of adapting, not a cookbook item where you set 3 programs and you're done. ]]></description>

Generally speaking, if you stick to popular downloads on well known sites, chances of acquiring malware are not anywhere near as high as you might think, actually relatively low.<br><br>As for porn sites being a good place to get malware, not really.<br><br>It's when you wander off to obscure/fishy websites and downloads that things start happening. <description><![CDATA[Win7 posted : This is a real life situation of an "average Joe" consumer.<br><br>I am not trying to sell anything here, in fact only MBAM is one time fee, the rest is free. (and I bought MBAM because most of AV vendors will recommend "are you infected?run MBAM)<br><br>Let's don't forget that the AV industry is based on profit; they have to sell their products to make money and you will buy if you are scared.<br><br>Years ago, the updates were weekly, later on daily, after that few times a day, hourly, every 15 min and now in the cloud.<br><br>One AV is no longer enough, you will be advised to install 2 (100% compatible!) , somebody recommended 2 cloud AV's!!!!<br><br>Life out there is not that scary; while here on forums the density of computer geeks per square bit is huge, in real life the consumer doesn't want to run complicated combinations, to submit logs or to start in safemode.<br><br>I reached this combination (MSE4+MBAM+PCTools Firewall Plus +UAC max) after a considerable amount of time, and I run it on 3 pc's; very light, never had to do anything on the other pc's.<br><br>Just a real life situation.<br><br>Win7]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[Win7 posted : Hi,<br><br>I've been using for a while on a Win7 Pro 64 , MSE+MBAM+PC Tools Firewall Plus + UACmax.<br><br>Except MBAM everything else is free.And MBAM is one time fee.<br><br>I've been trying hard to get somehow infected;I used keygens,cracked software,P2P,watching porn, but not a single infection in months (years with XP)<br><br>I scanned my PC with ESET online scanner, Kaspersky tdsskiller, HitmanPro but...nothing!<br><br>Is a very simple and cheap combination; nothing paranoic like virtual machine, sandboxie,deepfreze,HIPS<br><br>I do have an image, just in case.<br><br>So, I'm asking , why is so difficult to secure a PC?<br><br>Win7]]></description>
