Re: The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim: Dragonborn - Official Trailer

said by TigerLord:

If you're running a 64bit OS, why not get at least 8GB of ram? It's so dirt cheap and very affordable.

A Core2Duo is not exactly shit, but it's no longer considered good. A 550TI definitely is crap, as is a plain old SATA drive to use as OS drive.

All-in-all your PC is low-end and Skyrim is a recent game, so don't expect flawless performance. Not to mention cracks can sometimes make things go haywire.

I am really disappointed in this thread, first look up my motherboard and you will see that my MB only has 2 slots and then look at the manual of the MB, thats right ONLY 4GB of ram. Secondly I would like to say that I bought max payne 3 a while after it was released, I walked into GS one day and seen it there on the shelf, so I bought it.. I had my fingers crossed the entire time hoping that it would manage to be played on my internet connection but saddly I could not get it work, only got extreme frustration so i gave up on that, went over to SP mode, played kind of great but was pretty laggy in all high settings so i turned it down and that fixed it, at this time I had 2GB of ram, and Nvidia 9600, yeah that sucks.. Ok so about a month or so had past and the lag kinda gotten in the way so i upgraded it to where i am today, I can run Max payne 3 absolutely tremendous in all high settings, plays outstanding but if you don't believe me on this then just take it as i never even said anything.

Third I would like to say that I would rather stick to non legit copies, maybe everyone here is right, the game does run good but maybe its because everything is up-to-date or taking better care of your system than i am. I noticed in my system and friends system that with non legit copies it runs differently than the actual copy so.. But I am most certainly not judging a book by its cover unless i have taken it off and walked around the blocks maybe a couple hundreds of times and after playing it an entire week non stop, thats how to break a good game in and believe me I seen glitches before, map errors, or somethings that just do not seem right.

Support only the gaming company's that matter the most, pay for something that actually is worth buying or has a good reason for how much it's worth.

I don't know why your motherboard's RAM limitations make you sad in this thread, but okbro. It's not the thread's fault, but your motherboard's. Like everyone else said, time to upgrade.

Max Payne 3 is a shitty console port.

Don't claim to have something legitimate to say about a game's performance if you are playing a cracked copy. PC games are increasingly optimized after release and they play completely differently 6 months after release.

The Witcher 2 is a good example. Right after release, even on low settings, it reduced my GTX 580 to a pathetic, single-digit-FPS crawl. A year later, my GPU could fly through it with almost everything maxed (except ubersampling and unlimited dangling objects) and still get 60 FPS.

PC games also don't perform better after "breaking them in" by playing them for a week. They perform better when Video card makers release driver updates that optimizes GPU performance in-game, and when the game maker releases tweaks that optimizes how the game runs.

You're better off investing in some new hardware before you start becoming relevant in your computer game critiques. Else, you should start every critique with a caveat about your hardware so unwitting readers have some context to your off-the-wall comments.

I couldn't. You never shared the model. ASUS makes dozens of mobos a year.

Hey pal? ever hear of the word "broke"? I bet you never even thought about that.. no one does, plus I like my pc specs theres absolutely nothing wrong with them, all games run the way they should except for some minor issues but thats it.

It's one thing to have a very small PC hardware budget, and no one is looking down on you if that is the case. It's been a bad economy for about 4 years now, jobs can be scarce, and splurge cash even rarer.

That doesn't mean you have to justify an older PC as "absolutely nothing wrong / I like it the way it is" if it's having performance issues.

In my book, that also does not justify pirating games, but I understand that is not a discussion to be had.

He already stated he upgraded to his current setup, if you can imagine that. Which obviously was within the last few months. That would be considered a downgrade by today's standards.

So it all makes sense now. It's not the shit ass PC you're running, it's just that you're broke which justifies pirating PC games.

We are not saying you do not belong here because you lack the money to buy a high-end PC.

We are saying you are showing bigotry by criticizing a game you have not
A) Experienced enough
B) Experienced on a proper, modern machine

Therefore, dissing a game because you do not have the proper equipment to enjoy it fully voids your criticism about its technical problems automatically.

Modern Bethesda games always have had some bugs because their scope is massive. This holds true for Fallout 3, Fallout Vegas, Oblivion and now Skyrim. At least they fix the issues within a few months.

I put in 45 hours in Skyrim and enjoyed them tremendously. If you haven't even paid for it, I don't see why we should humor your unjustified complaining? You'll find many users on the PC Gaming forum abhor DRM and even think piracy in some instances has its use, but definitely not a rationalization for whining about bugs in such a huge game.

Well i don't pirate all games.. I do go a little steam game crazy when its all on sale or a franchise. And like I always say if you have the official game files or disc or whatever of that specific game, it should be legal for you to also have a pirated copy, now idk if that is true or not but thats my saying.
