Well didn't seem like you discovered it from the topic, but I don't think there is another login, even some charter techs that came out to work on my net were confused by a lack of login user/pass

Same here. That combo doesn't work anymore. Would be nice to see what happened in the logs when the lights changed though.

I'll call them, obviously it was fine with them for me to see my logs on my old modem why now it is "not ok" to see the exact same information? I bet they won't have a reasonable answer to that of course. LOL

My old Moto SB5101 allowed me to see logs and anything else I wanted to.

Has anyone called Charter tech support and asked for a tier two tech with this question. Surely someone must know it.

Maybe the real motive behind forcing all customers to have Charter provided modems was so that they wouldn't be denying customers that OWNED their own modems the data they would have been entitled to otherwise. Very sneaky.

Certain modems/models have almost always required logins to see any or more than limited diagnostics, such as Cisco/SciAtl and Ubee modems. Doesn't matter who's network they're on, the default configs for many of those require a login.

So i guess if you can't see the logs you can tell if you have a bad enough problem to make a service call. So now you have to call and have them look at it, they send a tech and if it is not a Charter problem they charge you for the service call. I don't think we should be locked out of the logs and if we are we should not be charged for service calls because we can not see what might be wrong by the logs to help us fix/ID the problems.

Again, this is the Cisco DPC3008. the one Charter is currently providing.
Been sorta laggy in the past few days (same thing i was experiencing earlier). Need to check out the modem logs.

There is no way to look at the DOCSIS logs without this login and password. Only want to see these logs, not to change anything (why would i screw up any settings?)
