Re: Anveo call flow

I tried it and noticed similar things. My call flow is simple, read a variable and decide where to transfer the call. If the call is the first call of the day or maybe the server is busy, the call flow info is not in the system cache, the time between SIPIN and DIALOUT can take up to 15 seconds in between, plus the time between the DIALOUT and your cell phone actually rings and your response time, you will definitely miss the call. Subsequent calls are much better, the call flow usually takes 2~3 seconds to DIALOUT. But if there is no calls for hours and the next call comes in when server is busy, the same long delay will happen again. If the call comes in during off peak hours, e.g. you test it at midnight, the call flow usually takes 1~2 seconds to DIALOUT.

I did experience the sporadic nature of the ring delay and with your explanation, it makes perfect sense now why it would only happen at certain times i.e. after not having used the phone for a while.

With infrequent use, as is typical for my home phone, I can definitely see why using a call flow would be an issue vs. just directly forwarding the call to my ATA.

Anyway, thank you for that explanation. I can put this matter to rest.
