Never heard of it before on the DCM476, but my DCM475 used to do that. It indicates that one or more of the bonded channels has dropped out. If that's the case, a modem power cycle gets the missing channel back again.

And you perhaps should check that the modem has the latest firmware on it, which normally prevents that sort of thing from happening.

Check in the modem's web GUI, on the Diagnostics tab, and see if all of the expected channels are bonded. There should be either 8-down/4-up, or 4-down/1-up (in most cases).
