yabos posted : Hi Elizabeth. Thanks for your reply. I'm going to look at it tonight. It seems ok now, the light went back to solid green shortly after my original post. My internet didn't ever go down and I did a speed test when it was flashing. Still got ~900Kbps up. I was more curious about what it meant than anything, but I'll check the upstream channels and signal levels later tonight.

yabos posted : Thanks I'll take a look at the diagnostics page tomorrow. The Internet never went down and the light came back on solid. Couldn't check the diagnostics tonight because the Internet was being used too much in my house. It probably has something to do with upstream channel bonding.

DSMdude posted : This happened on my 476 and it was due to my upstream being bonded by Rogers. Give it a week then power cycle the 476, you'll most likely see some changes in your upstream

mlord posted : Check in the modem's web GUI, on the Diagnostics tab, and see if all of the expected channels are bonded. There should be either 8-down/4-up, or 4-down/1-up (in most cases).

mlord posted : Never heard of it before on the DCM476, but my DCM475 used to do that. It indicates that one or more of the bonded channels has dropped out. If that's the case, a modem power cycle gets the missing channel back again.

And you perhaps should check that the modem has the latest firmware on it, which normally prevents that sort of thing from happening.

Cheers
