Re: Cat5/Cat6...... Phone/DSL install said by nunya:I can't believe it's taken three truck rolls to get a fucking Keptel replaced. Somebody should be fired. That's a 10 minute job, and every truck should have plenty of NWIs on it. Obviously, you have not dealt with BellSouth (now AT&T).

| If you'll look at my "about me" page, you'll see that I am "somewhat" familiar with AT&T practices . Even now, where quality is not a concern for them anymore, 3 truck rolls for a measly NWI is ridiculous. This should have been handled by the first guy. The "real" cost of a truck roll is around $110 just to have a man show up for an hour (what it costs the company). I hate to see AT&T pissing away my pittance of a pension. -- If someone refers to herself / himself as a "guru", they probably aren't. |

This is the south. It is Bellsouth trucks and people with AT&T logos pasted over them. This goes back a long time before AT&T took over. |

Years ago I had several friends who worked for AT&T and I can assure you the quality of the workers then was not like the crap they evidently pick up off the street and put to work with no formal training or work rules. |
