The point is that a rather lot of people are buying bluray readers, and those people are probably using them for commercial discs. Saying that most people who buy bluray drives don't watch commercial discs is a bit silly.
For burners, there's probably a lot of people like me, who wanted a bluray reader with the option of burning if needed.

Out of every single person I know with a bluray drive (and there's a few), all but one have the capability to write bluray disks. Only one guy has a reader, in a laptop, that he hooks up to his TV to watch.
Hm, I thought most of the people here were hardware enthusiasts. Every single person I know with a blu-ray drive in their PC, the drive is a burner. The LG's were in the $60 range at NCIX a number of times in the past couple years so lots of people snapped them up.
I have an LG 6x blu-ray burner and a Pioneer 12x.
